Thoughts on our business

With technological progress, we have entered an era where things that were once mere dreams can now be realized. However, on the other hand, there is still a reality that many jobs necessary for maintaining society have not fully benefited from this technological progress.
If our robot technology can contribute to the improvement of the safety and comfort of such jobs, society will become more sustainable.
Moreover, by expanding our targets to include space and the deep sea, we will contribute to the expansion of human activities and the growth of the economy.

Kenya Ueno

CEO

Kenya Ueno specialized in robotics engineering during his time in university. After graduating, he worked in mechanical design for four-wheeled and aircraft engines at a major automotive and heavy industry company. He then transitioned to a venture company where he developed space crafts and robots, utilizing his previous experience in ground to space development.
With the aim of addressing social issues related to the aging population, Kenya founded SpaceRobotics, hoping to create remotely operated robots capable of operating in harsh environments such as high radiation areas. He plans to initially focus on developing ground applications before eventually expanding into space technology.

Shusuke Yonekawa

Ph.D., Director, CMO

Engaged in life science research at university and graduate school (Doctor of Life Sciences). After graduating from graduate school, he worked as a researcher at the Biochemistry Center of Heidelberg University in Germany and in research and development at a pharmaceutical company before joining Yoshida Corporation. He established Space Robotics because he believes that remote control technology will be indispensable for gloveboxes manufactured by Yoshida in the future. He is working mainly in the fields of decommissioning and medical care, and his ultimate goal is to reduce worker exposure to radiation and secondary infection to zero.
